While you are making a plan, there are some things you might not have though about that you should consider. Here are some points to think about including into your plan:
1- Don't let your tank run low - You don't want to find yourself in an emergency with an empty tank of gas. There could be a rush at the gas station or a disruption in supply. You don't want to be caught in this position, so set a rule for your family, like never letting your gas tank get below half full.
2. Get Extra Medication- If you or anybody in your family relies upon prescription medication, it is a good idea to have an extra month's worth (or more if the prescription is for a serious condition). Think about a worse case scenerio in which you cannot refill a prescription, pharmacies are shut down or the supplies are low. Having extra medication could be the difference between life and death. Every state and insurance company has policies about getting extra medication. Find out what you need to do in order to protect yourself. If all else fails, go to your doctor and ask for a double prescription, most will gladly oblige.
